Out of our selection of solid hardwoods, we have many exotic species. Exotic hardwoods, particularly those from South America, are becoming more popular in North America, especially Brazilian Cherry and tigerwood. Many of these solid exotic hardwoods have sharper color contrasts or deeper colors. Our unfinished solid exotic flooring includes many common species, such as Brazilian cherry, Brazilian walnut, Brazilian teak, tigerwood, Santos mahogany, Lapacho, and Australian cypress. With the exception of the cypress, all are from South America, with Lapacho being common in Paraguay. All types come in strip and plank cuts, plain sawn, with micro-beveled edges. Also, all woods come in clear, select, and classic grades, with the latter being more of a character hardwood.
