Lapacho is one of the rarer exotic hardwoods we carry and is often confused with Brazilian walnut. Lapacho, however, comes from Paraguay and has a darker appearance overall with less variation in grain. Our selection includes prefinished lapacho hardwood flooring in strip and plank sizes up to five inches long. Depending upon your budget, our prefinished lapacho flooring comes in clear and select and better grades, the highest two available. As you want your floors to keep up their appearance, all prefinished lapacho hardwood is coated with UV-cured aluminum oxide-fortified polyurethane, which creates a scratch-resistant barrier to protect the wood.
