Rift & Quartersawn
This Rift & Quartersawn Hard Maple flooring is 1st Grade, and contains about 60 - 70% Rift Sawn boards, and about 30 - 40% Quarter Sawn boards. Rift Sawn boards display very tight, straight grain, while Quarter Sawn boards display the prominent "ribbon & flake" pattern that they are desired for, as well as tight grain. Rift & Quarter Sawn flooring is a great choice to go over in-floor radiant heating systems, due to it's increased stability.
Select & Better
Our 1st Grade (Select & Better Grade) Hard Maple flooring has very consistent color and grain throughout, and is almost completely free of natural imperfections such as knots and mineral streaks.
